The Classes

Long Beach Kettlebell Club offers numerous small group classes to ensure that each student* can train multiple times per week. Our classes are smaller in size to maintain the integrity of the club; we pride ourselves on teaching proper technique and form that our students lift safely and get stronger without getting injured.

*All incoming students are required to take an introduction session with one of our qualified coaches before taking class to learn the proper technique of the fundamental kettlebell movements.

General Kettlebell

In the general kettlebell workouts, students will see some of the fundamental kettlebell exercises like the swing, clean, press, and Turkish getup, along with movements you’ll see with other weightlifting tools, such as the deadlift, squat, and bent over row. These classes will offer a wide variety of formats, including HIIT, various interval formats, and complexes. No two workouts are alike and all workouts are challenging and fun!

Unconventional

Our unconventional fitness classes complement our general kettlebell classes by training the body in different planes of motion. In these classes, students are working with unique tools such as the Bulgarian Bag and the mace, both of which allow athletes to train more rotational angles that you won’t get from traditional weightlifting. These classes focus on using unique tools and body weight to get your heart pumping and build strength and endurance!

Kettlebell Sport

For our experienced lifters looking to further challenge themselves in a competition setting, our kettlebell sport classes offer a deeper look at the competitive lifts and sport-specific training to get them ready for upcoming competitions. Lifters will work on competition lifts and accessory movements in order to prepare them for a 10-minute competition set. *Experience in kettlebell sport lifts required; please inquiry for further details and pricing.

Lauren Weiss

Coach Lauren has been training clients and working with kettlebells for over 2 years and is certified through USAKL, Flexible Steel, and Mr. Maceman. She strives to create a positive and motivating workout environment in each of her classes that empowers athletes and leaved them feeling better than when they walked in the door. Coach Lauren has trained all different types of athletes, ranging from kettlebell sport endurance athletes to older adults looking to get in better shape to young kids first learning how to train safely with weights. Coach Lauren’s kettlebell sport athletes have gone on to win numerous competitions and achieve various kettlebell sport rankings. Coach Lauren competes in kettlebell sport herself and is a seasoned and medaled athlete in both BOLT and GS style competitions.
